If the WTA sounds good to you and you are interested in joining, there
are a few things you can do.
- Print
this PDF document. This document has a registration form at the end. Once
filled out, mail it with your membership fee to the address listed
on the form and you'll be in!
(You need the Adobe Acrobat Reader plug-in to view the PDF form. If
you don't already have it, you can download it for free at www.adobe.com.)
- Call our president at 262-0056 or email if you have any questions that were
not answered somewhere in this site.
- Pick up a registration form from one of the locations listed below.
We continue to use this website and email as a way to cut mailing
costs. It has been working very well. The more people we can get to
opt in on this the better. Please consider supplying us with an email
address if you have one. To alleviate fears some have of so many people
seeing your email address, please be assured that for any emails sent
out en masse, I use the blind copy feature so your address is not exposed.
If you also prefer not to have your email address published in the
schedules mailing, please check the appropriate box on the registration
form. Then your email will only be used to convey information or schedule
changes from the WTA.
As was done last year, the next mailing that contains the schedules will be sent via email
to those who agree. You can then print a copy of the whole mailing,
only your specific schedule(s), or simply leave it on your computer and
access it as needed. All the information in this mailing and the schedules,
when completed, can also be viewed and printed out from this website (saving
even more paper and money since you can just print your individual schedules)
around the same date that the mailings are sent.
We really hope many of you will choose to continue this or try it for
the first time this year. It will really save time, money, and the environment.
Please indicate on the registration form using the check box, whether
you agree to have the next mailing sent to you electronically and if
you do not want your email address printed in the mailing.
Please print your email address clearly being sure to differentiate
numbers and letters (for example, the number “1” vs. the
letter “L”).
All members must be 18 years of age or a graduating high school senior
who will turn 18 this year. However,
this year we will again allow any high school student to also join the league as long
as they will be playing doubles with a parent. We hope this will encourage
families to play together.
Membership fees for 2007 are $20 per
person.
The membership fee is the same whether you sign up, for example, just
for doubles or for singles, doubles, and mixed doubles.
Registration
forms and information packets are also available at the following locations
each spring:
- The Watertown Public Library - 100 S. Water St.
- David's Paint Store- 306 E. Madison St.
- Park and Recreation Office - 515 S. First St.
- Watertown Health and Wellness Center - 925 S. 12th St.
- Watertown City Hall - 106 Jones St.
If you would like to play doubles and are in need of a partner, you
can contact me. I will keep track of anyone who needs to be
paired up. Please contact me as early as possible so we have time to
pair people up since I will also be busy putting together the
schedules.
You can email me at wtawebsite@charter.net or by phone at 262-0056.
Thank you for your interest in the Watertown Tennis Association!
